the den: Helping Nonprofit Marketers Grow in the Digital Age

It’s common knowledge that as much as we’d like to, advertising agencies simply do not have the bandwidth to take on all the pro bono clients we want to. At best, we work closely with one or two that we feel we can make the most difference with. And yet, nonprofit organizations have the greatest need for marketing expertise and face some of the biggest challenges: tiny budgets, impossibly small teams, reliance on aforementioned pro bono favors and donated media, not to mention a rapidly aging pool of donors. Many can’t afford to work with award-winning agencies to get their vital messages out to the public. What’s to be done?
On March 30, 360i will host the second iteration of its highly successful ‘den’ workshop in Chicago. ‘Den’ stands for Digital Education for Nonprofits and was created to address these very issues and help nonprofits overcome some of these challenges. There’s a familiar proverb that says, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” The den implements this wisdom and equips marketers at nonprofit organizations with the tools, knowledge, resources and research to get the most bang for their marketing buck.
Amongst the various subjects of the free, day-long workshop, we’ll be addressing how to navigate the future of giving and share best practices in Influencer Marketing, Insights, Social Marketing, Paid Social and Search. At the center of any non-profit’s success is the ability to trade on influence to change hearts and minds. 360i’s session on influencer marketing will feature a look at how organizations can curate and develop their own influencer marketing programs and strategies with an eye toward efficiency and cost.  The day will also feature a guest speaker from GirlForward and a keynote address from 360i CEO, Sarah Hofstetter.
