Kirsten Osolind has combined Twitter and storytelling to make what is being called a Twitter soap opera. After she moved from Chicago to Coronado, CA, she decided to start a semi-autobiographical account of the life changes via her Twitter account. It combines the classic “fish out of water” theme with a developing relationship between main characters and historical references to Chicago and Coronado’s connections. She isn’t just transcribing a book she wrote though. The tweets resemble any other tweets, ranging from life updates to funny things the character witnessed. The story unfolds through several Twitter accounts, creating counter observations and deep characters despite the brevity.
