Hulu, the extremely popular online television and movie website, is celebrating its one year birthday today. With a library of now more than 1,000 television series and 400 full length films, it won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. As well, that Hulu is garnering is such positive WOM is, says Brian Stelter of the New York Times, almost certainly a result of Hulu’s policy of showing fewer, less intrusive ads, for a shorter length of time. More than this, Hulu visitors are even allowed to rate Hulu commercials with a “Thumbs Up” or “Thumbs Down” rating.
