I think one the the big ideas–working through barriers–contains one point that is crucial: helping the entereprise understand where social media fits in its ongoing business. Another barrier the deserves more discussion is “freedom.” Letting your social media team–bloggers, event managers, and other–do their thing and apply their expertise and intuition unfettered. I am fortunate to have a company behind me that allows this…even supports this. Just as important: allowing this freedom to continue over the long term.
