Internship Opportunities

Whether you're interested in small nonprofits or a multinational corporation, in marketing, PR or social media, a WOMMA internship will provide you with valuable experience and education for your career. You will be able to develop your business skills and make valuable contacts while learning about the amazing impact of word of mouth marketing. The Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) is looking for smart interns who want to work on the cutting edge.

This internship is for you if you want to :
Learn firsthand about word of mouth marketing and social media and how it can be used to drive real business results
Have the chance to meet and interact with some of the greatest leaders in the industry (our members include, Ogilvy, Nielsen, Porter Novelli, McDonalds, P&G, AT&T)
Participate in valuable educational opportunities to further your word of mouth and social media marketing knowledge
Build a resume with content that goes beyond what most Fortune 500 executives are struggling to learn about
Use social media tools in advancing WOMMA's strategic membership plan
Have an understanding of what the future of marketing holds, giving you a competitive advantage in your job search

We represent the leading companies at the cutting edge of buzz, viral, and creative word of mouth marketing. Blogging, consumer generated content, customer evangelism -- that just scratches the surface of what we cover.

We need smart people who can:
Research potential recruitment and sponsorship opportunities
Database management
Organize events and meetings
Help build WOMMA’s content library
Do online research
Actively participate in WOM engagement and social media
Write and think creatively to help participate in the WOMMA Word Blog

This is an unpaid internship:
We can't pay you, but we'd be delighted to help you get school credit and experience in the hottest disciplines in marketing . Only *CURRENT* undergrads and grad students are welcome to apply.

We need people who love this stuff : 
Candidates must be smart and dedicated, and absolutely must be the type of people who know how to look at a problem, determine exactly what needs to be done, and then make it happen.  We need great people with skills in writing, sales, marketing, PR, event planning, and more. We do not need any web designers or IT people.
Minimum 15+ hours/week.
