The WOMMA Brands Council is a learning community for all brand marketers in WOMMA who want to help their companies navigate the complex waters of word of mouth and social media marketing.

Once a month WOMMA will host an hour-long open conference call for Brands Council members to share with each other their successes, challenges, questions, and answers to Word of Mouth and Social Media marketing issues they experience. It’s an open forum for brands by brands.

John Moore from WOMMA will host the call and the agenda will be loose. A main topic will be offered to help frame the hour-long conversation and occasionally, there will be a guest or a panel of guests to help drive the conversation.

Discussion topics will range from selling word of mouth programming internally to navigating common legal issues associated with social media to using the best online tools for connecting brands with customers. Ethical issues and success measurements will also be addressed.

The price of admission for WOMMA members to these Brands Council Open Calls is participation.
(The more we share, the more we all will learn.)

Influentials are among us. They are known as thought-leaders, trendsetters, mavens, sneezers, etc. Influentials can help spark word-of-mouth conversations leading to a tipping point of sales success. However, It’s not easy for marketers to identify influentials and measure the impact of their influence. Join us as Idil Cakim, VP of Interactive Media at GolinHarris and author of “Implementing Word of Mouth Marketing” (Wiley, 2010), shares her views on “The Influence Factor” and how brands can engage, monitor, and measure influencer marketing programs.
